1024x768 full screen, minileap 19 bots OpenGL: fps 50, load 25-30% Direct Draw: fps 25, load 100% SDL: fps 30, load 100% I can even use OpenGL 1600x1200 resolution at 25-45% load, fantastic! I also noticed that "alpha channel" on level tiles is black, non-transparent when using OpenGL. And the skidm...

Release candidate 4 crashes before it even starts. Just after it changes resolution and goes to full screen mode. Rc3 worked fine.

AMD Duron 1.8 GHz
512MB RAM
ALL-IN-WONDER Radeon 7500

Any more info you'd like Ande? Something from the error report?

Finally got got some time over to download and try RC3. DirectX, full screen is still the best setting on my computer. I'm crossing my fingers for OpenGL support. Also a small bug: When I turn DirectX off, the shadows under the cars disappear after a moment at start, only to show again when the car ...

Although rotate command is used to make the cars on grid rotate, the control point does not rotate. Aha ok, I didn't know that... never noticed. Well, that's a problem. Not very much in this track though... good thing this is the only one in which I use such an "extreme" angle. It is just one point...

Hmm, this got me thinking...

Is it possible to use a negative energyloss value for terrain? Could be fun for missile races (and other things) as "healing area", like pit but you won't have to stop.

Is it possible to rotate this 1st control point and make it at an angle. Also it would be interesting the level 2 tiles can be rotated as well. It was possible before, not in 2.0.0? Although, rotated level tiles caused some wird skidmarks. Not like the other tiles with using the editor. Ok, so it's...

Nice bunch of features :!:

I can hardly even drive 2000x2000 on my crap computer, but I look forward to some 500x4000 rally/skiing/bobsled/whatever-tracks.

Aww, that's a shame. Well, I guess the workaround is to use a bunch of NoRotTiles.

I collected some years ago all the feature requests made so far and it can be seen: http://sliderpoint.com/files/ts_feature-req.txt . The list isn't updated since 2006 but maybe I will update it. Nice compilation. Some of the suggestions can be crossed out now Even found the oil slick idea that cam...

Awsome! See Hengari, doesn't hurt to ask. :)

Ande wrote:"gravitydirection" (0-359)

Is that relative to the tile? I imagine that would be the best, so rotating a tile would also rotate gravity direction.

About gravity, it is really not used anywhere yet and I don't know if it is of any use. I just added it because it was such a small thing to do and it could possibly enable someone to make an xpilot/thrust like space mod. I'm guessing that this is an overall gravity for the entire track? Can you se...

Just include the code Anddru gave you in your trk-file, put it below "Include tiles2.til" and change the values to your liking, like changing acceleration as Anddru suggested. Use a simple text editor, like note pad. This will change the properties for the Track edge terrain.

I can't think of a good solution to this, besides terrain that slow down or damage terrain.

Penalty terrain is a good idea... could add penalty to lap times or deduct race points. Too bad Ande isn't doing much updates these days. You'll have to figure out the best compromise I guess. :|

Bumpy inner curbs are a pretty nice sollution imo:

...the small bumps makes the car lose momentum and driving line a bit.

The gpor track pack works fine here, I just downloaded and tried some tracks out: http://www.download.com/GPOR-TSB-F1-Tra ... tag=button

So where does it go wrong for you? When unpacking the rar file? I'm used to getting corrupt rar files now and then, but this time WinRAR didn't complain at all.

"You must do Whatever it takes to get the victory!"

...Well, that rule excludes team play IMO. Because as soon as one driver starts driving blocking etc to help someone else, he breaks the rule by not doing whatever he can to take the win himself.
