Hey, I do not want to put away now players. Just wondered why they see this as clone of a Formula 1 racing. There really must be something wrong with the marketing. However new features do not harm the game as long as technical improvement (e.g. for the network code) has it's place. In my local netw...

Ah there it comes from... Seems like the new players want Turbosliders to be a clone of this Miniracingonline.

i have to disagree with this statement completely. In no way does JJG want this game to be dead in any form, anywhere. It's a little bit weak that this is the only comment from the official site even if a week passed since the thread was started. This only proves that many of the reproaches here ar...

So is there any other reason not to use WMV9 codec Yes. I cannot play it on my DVD-Player, while it supports DivX and XViD (like many DVD-Players do). Then there are several ideologic reasons, you know... Microsoft suing everyone, wanting to make this as standard for DCM-Reasons etc, etc. But you s...

And one problem is that I don't think Windows Movie Maker supports any other output than wmv Well, that's exactly what Microsoft wants. They also don't want that other programs can convert their wmv in something useful, so they sue everyone who wrote a program that can... Thats another reason for n...

I tested several compressions and Windows Media 9 was the best in quality and size. I think I tested some divx coded, too, but it had divx watermark visible and quality was not as good. I was also not sure if it was legal to use that particular codec. But perhaps I could retry that if I find a code...

I used VirtualDubMod to make an avi file of that (using Windows Media 9 or something like that as the encoder and 50 FPS). Of course that Windows-proprietary stuff doesn't work in Linux. Damn Windows Media 9 and wmv. Yep. There is no need for using Windows Media, especially when using AVI as contai...

Hengari, i really see nothing that improved since JGG cares about this game. There were player homepages before, there were dedicated servers before (Dutch Server and Playtrix), there even were forums before, there were organized cups before. They rather should do what most players cannot do themsel...

Linking to fan sites and making new forum categories what can be done in 30 minutes. + The game has evolved and new features is added That was was Ande did. + There are good amount of active players in the evenings a...

Does JollyGoodGames care about this game at all?

I wonder what JollyGoodGames really did for this game. Last post from Creator in this Forum was 2 Months ago (Mar 16, 2006), a discussion about a better demo mode started half a year ago ( see here ) and came with a lot of suggestions. All JGG did is trying a 60-minutes-once demo version which - sur...

My club members are happy with the tracks i make so thats already fine for me. We have our local championship using big tracks and F1 Cars, so basically that gives me 100% satisfaction. Once in a while i will start organising some race with the top 4 of my club vs others. It is alway fine when some...

So it really doesn't matter which tracks u have - there's just no players :( Yes... But I also think many left because of the bad servers, the pushing of the Easyslider etc. U are talking about playing again 086b :D If someone just can host a 24/7 server i'm there with u ;) That should be possible....

Hooking is what the demo mode should do for new players Mikko I'm not quite sure what you want to say exactly but in my opinion you can only get hooked to the game if you can take part in the game without serious limits. The only shareware game I ever registered was Slicks'n'Slide. I played it so m...

I often hear that 0.86 was more fun than 1.x. I cannot really compare since 1.x never had that much players so maybe it was just the missing players. That is exactly why 0.86b was more fun seeing 3 servers with 16 players in em at the same time is something 1.00 hasn't gotten even close to. 3 serve...

TS wont split in two since 1.0x is superior to 0.86b in almost every way. I often hear that 0.86 was more fun than 1.x. I cannot really compare since 1.x never had that much players so maybe it was just the missing players. But I liked the simplicity of the tracks and also the psychedelic look of s...

so why your discussion always include my name? Because I heared it from many sites that others are not happy with that. I think the problem is that you (and 2 or 3 others but nut much more) are the only active players who are left now. Plus it seemed that Andy was programming into the game what you...

Flexman, why don't you call your friends make a group and do some trackmaking? So you'll be playing on tracks you like. The reason is that in Europe most players played the game when it was Slicks'n'Slide like. So I think as long as the community is too small for 2 European servers (one Turboslider...

Wanna bet? Cracked JazzySliders > SuckySliders. That's for sure. There are communities based on Cracked JazzySliders. Many players bought full version because they tried & played cracked version before (mostly punaball) and because they wanted to join our cups (punaball worldcup etc). I thin...

I hope you are joking... I'd prefer quitting TS instead of going back to 0.86. Guess we could absorb that one quit with some of the (not so few) players who also showed interest in changing back to the old version because of being frustrated with the current status. Oh... and for those who only rea...

Activity compared to the last public beta 0.86b has dropped considerably considering that in 0.86b the game was advertised mostly by "word-to-mouth". That's your opinion Jazzy, but many are not happy with that. If you want a Formula 1 game then I wonder why you just don't play one instead of trying to make Turbosliders into a Formula 1 game... Also new players need to see a chance to win. If they see not any chance then they'll leave very soon. W...
