Just look Punatiainen's F1 tracks like Sepang That one is good, yes, but for default cars (and probably that's what Puna wanted to create). I wouldn't use it in a GPOR-Form1 season, though, because it has obstacles too close to the track for long races. Of course I didn't meant that it would be usa...

It's quite obvious that some real life tracks can't be reproduced in TS for F1 racing, unless you make big changes to the track itself. Just look Punatiainen's F1 tracks like Sepang and Swos's? 0.86 Sepang which are modeled after real F1 tracks but Turbo Sliders in mind. Usually the non-F1 racing t...

I meant to ask do I need other programs It depends how you're going to do your track. I myself have used the compination of Inkscape to draw the tracklines and then editing the track line on GIMP and making the pattern. Photoshop may be a bit easier to use than GIMP but it's a lot more expensive al...

By the way, it would be possible to make super bridges that go over other bridges (using different height) but I don't think anyone has done that yet, it would require some nasty terrain tweaking :). I have done that "super bridge" but haven't had the time to release it. It just uses the default br...

75 Hz as well, my monitor is a Dell Trinitron 21''. Probably it's the same problem Janne has On CRT-monitors the movement is always way smoother than on LCD-displays and the high/low refresh rates doesn't affect the same way as on CRT-monitors. Usually LCD-displays have Ande's mentioned 60Hz and CR...

Of course it's hard to record the driving lines for cars which don't slide (no skid marks). Tijny made a nice script to extract the driving line out of the output.txt n1 In last (photoshopped) track I created, I added a skidmark but I decided not to add different tarmac behavior on that. But the sk...

I have thought about making driving lines for a track but they should be done by driving the track with some car so it's authentic to real driving lines. Of course it's hard to record the driving lines for cars which don't slide (no skid marks). And either way the driving line would be usable for th...

I ran across an interesting piece of news: http://linux.slashdot.org/linux/08/09/19/1520213.shtml I take it this helps Ande do the OpenGL thingy better and finish it faster? Or did Ande already know this and that's why he went for OpenGL? Yeah, I also read that and first though the same thing but t...

Also it would be interesting the level 2 tiles can be rotated as well.
It was possible before, not in 2.0.0? Although, rotated level tiles caused some wird skidmarks.
Not like the other tiles with using the editor.

Re: MRO Tracks in TS

it might be a good idea having some of their tracks converted for a TS mod created in collaboration with MRO. Just why would we need MRO tracks converted to TS? The result would likely be unsuitable for TS. It would be far better idea to make some quality tiles for objects and track terrains and cr...

I've been experiencing some major fps issues. I tried 1.08 and 2.0 with the same video settings. In 1.08 I had a load of 20% and 50fps, in 2.0 I had a load of 100% and 11fps. I replaced SDL.dll with the version from 1.08 and it all seems to be working fine now. I wonder why a newer version of SDL.d...

Excellent!

As I have heard some players asking about, a Mac OS X version would be great and now when OS X runs on Intel it should be easier.

And welcome "back".
