XBX! #4 - Xtreme Bumpz Xtravaganza

Post by iBlaze² » Tue Aug 18, 2009 6:38 pm

What's this cup?
The Xtreme Bumpz Xtravaganza is both a team and single-player X-Bumpz cup. There are up to 10 teams of 2 players battling it out for the title of XTREME Team. Each individual player also battles it out for the title of XTREME Player. Therefore, players must think both of themselves and of their teams.

When?
23rd August 2009 (Sunday) @ 16:00 GMT (17:00 UK, 18:00 CET, 19:00 FIN)

How can I join?
Just connect before it'll be full.

How does the X-Bumpz cup work?
Car: AntiSlider (fixed)
Tracks: 16 iBlaze² X-Bumpz tracks
Time: 2min max battle time
Server: Community Server [BEL]
Points for wrecking: 1 (one point for each wreck)
Points for positions: 1 (one point for last man standing)
Points for killing team-mate: -1 (you will lose one point for this)
Rules: You are NOT allowed to change your color after the cup has started.

How will the XTREME Team ranking be calculated?
The points total of the 2 players in a team will be combined for the team total. Winner is the team with the most points.

How will the XTREME Player ranking be calculated?
The points total of each individual player. Winner is the player with the most points.

NEW! There is no longer any need to sign-up in advance. Teams will be assigned to players upon connecting to the server.

NEW! This cup will now use a special track-pack made by iBlaze² (14 tracks are currently unreleased).

Thank you to those who came along. It was a shame that more people didn't turn up, but it seems like the game is dead right now so I couldn't really have expected many more people to be there. The new format worked nicely, but this was probably the last edition of the XBX! anyway so it didn't really matter.

I agree, there have been many periods of relative inactivity in the past and the game has been declared dead equally many times, but it's always gotten better after a while. As for myself, I would've liked to join but 18 CET isn't a good time for me.

Yeah I guess it's just bad times for organising events right now. Maybe I should take a vacation for a while too, so I won't notice

Anyway, I've uploaded the track-pack used for this cup here. It contains all 16 of my XBumpz tracks, including the 14 previously unreleased. I'll add them to the tracks database eventually, but this will do for now. Personally I think that new tracks are fairly redundant these days anyway, now that we have the set server track-pack... but somebody might want them for private use I guess :)

I would've been there if the reminder system would have reminded me of this. Don't really understand why the turbosliders msn-group isn't used anymore.

Only took 6 months, but I've finally got around to adding all my XBumpz tracks to the tracks database so you can download them at your leisure. That link to the track-pack still works if you want to download all 16 at once. I have no plans to make anymore so this is the definitive track-pack of all my XBumpz arenas.
