It's not a cheat. It's a trackmaker mistake. Shit happens, that's it. If this was a real race I'd ask it to be cancelled. Since it's just a practice, let it be. It's also a good way of practicing how to get in the pit, right?

I agree, people are making way too big a deal out of it. The track is as it is, starting a lap in the pitlane is not a crime and if some people are too stubborn to see that then it's their problem.

@Pingu:
We'll probably use a fixed version of the track for the race.

Easy guys....
lets not get too excited and start getting mad at everyone with a different opinion.

The pitlane short-cut was nothing that was planned from the beginning and it is of course very unfortune. I think nobody would wish that it would be faster then the normal racing line. However, it is what it is, and lets just accept it for now and keep racing and having fun. I can understand it sucks for drivers that got a good time before the pitlane line was discovered, but hey, its just a game. And as long as Tijny could do 39.6 without pitlane, i think everybody should focus on practice to be a faster driver instead.

And regarding Reirom.......... no i think everything has already been said about that guy...:)

yeah its my fault no question! i never really gave a shit about that if im honest! and thats the problem! if i knew that my track is used in WW challenge, for sure i would have some other minds then creating just a pitlane! its the 3 track out of 7 that i made, and the only one where this is possible! so its just bad luck or wtf.......
i liked it the most because of that first corner! i know its hard to take but thats what make the track good or not? i knew it by myself that it is way easyer to take it thru pits, but it never came to my mind to take this as an advantage! even if its possible or not! and in this case it is possible!!!!! you only have to look at our moron who was 0.5 sec faster then normally because hes to stupid to take that corner fast!
i didnt wanted to go thru last corner with starting grids because it wouldnt look good, thats why the start/finish line is so close to first corner! otherwise that problem would nerver happend!
and i have to say that no one of the big guys really supported me in making tracks even it was clear that motivation is there! except lux! i started from 0 and without him i would never be able to make such tracks! in the future i would like to see more support for new trackmakers because their cant be enought of that wonderfull (forst) duff! :D

Heya Lanz, how did you learn to make those tracks except from Lux? Is it hard and how long it takes to make 1 track? I always wanted to make a F1 truck but when i saw that guide.. my mind was already boggled:P. If you made so many why do we have to play with pre-releashed tracks xD. Just another kind of cup i guess:)

Don't worry about it, Lanz! You have a good heart, and cheating never entered your mind while building or testing that track. I'm sure everyone remembers my Mordecai track from season 1, where it was possible to cut a corner... but I did not catch it because cheating never enters my thoughts!

Shit happens! No worries!

Though, I'm 24th... I guess I need to go get my ass into the top 20 (without using the pit lane trick). Or perhaps Dede will accept my offline time, since it's only a test race.

Tijny said it probably would be a fixed track, but otherwise yes i thought, why not you have to sacrify 1 lap and how is starting from the pit lane illegal :D

Yeah, allowed. Do what you want! No need to fix the track, it's a test race after all.

nothing am easy!
i never worked with photoshop or similar programs befor, that was the main problem i think! if you know what your doing, following dedes tutorial its not a big problem anymore! wich in my case took some time! for sure first track is the hardest but after that you can start building nice tracks "pretty quick"! :D

Yep, we all used the reirom shortcut.

Nah, if you want to drive 33.6 on this track you have to choose the right line first, and THEN execute it almost to perfection. The subtlest of errors in braking/acceleration points can easily cost you a few tenths. I simply believe that the top 5 drivers have the ability to push their cars to the very limit every single lap, while all the others have to build in some reserves (a safer line) in order to get a clean lap.

It's quite sick atm the level of play, also in the races... top 10 will be hard from me for now on........... with new tracks i could always get 4-5-6 :P depending if mike and silcir ran without lag xD
