This will be a fun warming up cup before the next season of the F1 league.
It has some of my own adjustments.
lets have everyone practise and see who comes out on top in this warm up cup

Spots in race will be assigned on below order:

1 top 20 signed up players
2 top 20-40 signed up players
3 Random players in the server

Tracks: Random Released tracks (announced 1 day before the race)

Rules
On certain existing tracks it has come clear people crash in the pit against the wall to bring the car to a stop faster,
this is however dangerous and will not be allowed (fairplay rules in affect) after race review you can be penalized with 20 sec on your total racetime and thus your finishing position can change.
Cutting track parts from a pit exit for example will also not be allowed and penalized with 20sec.

Warm Up
This session will last about 5 minutes. Players will be allowed to set their startfuel and pit as many times as they want. Tyre wear will be enabled.

Qualifying
In this session it will be possible to drive up to 8 laps. Fuel remaining after last completed lap will be startfuel for the race. If a driver pits, the amount of fuel he added will be subtracted from the final amount of fuel (minimum default amount of fuel for race is 7%). Players can decide to complete only few laps in order to save fuel for the race. Tyre wear will be disabled in this session.

Race
Race will last about 30 minutes (number of laps will be variable, depending on track length). Startfuel must be set to the amount remaining after last completed lap in qualifications, except for the ones who didn't qualify (they are allowed to set a custom fuel level).
Startfuel for all players will be displayed together with starting grid statistics: players will need to set their startfuel manually typing e.g. "/startfuel 59".

well i might be in if we race on sundays but saturdays am probs the worst day for me to race anything! sure dont change it because of me cos it might be that i can't join even on sundays!

eh, sat err days sounds ok to me in +-3/4 cases. id most likely show up.

i hope though that 4kx4k tracks wont screw some ppls gfx cards.

alright alright ill add a poll later today i could switch the races to sunday but the crappy part is is that sundays is mostly my day to play poker and i dont want to be obligated in the weekday evenings to host/attend either

In order to make this more visible, I suggest you to start the tournament/cup on the homepage so it could be in featured news like GT3 currently is.

hello all today is the first raace of the warm up cup 18 registered so far so 2 more guaranteed spots available,

on the other note: when you look at tracks i was going to reveal todays track yesterday but i forgot to do that so for the all the next races coming ill reveal the track 15-30min before the race,

ill post the track name on here and ill open up a server saying which track.

Race 1:

Warm up: my attitude was "warmup is for pussies", had not raced in a loooong while.
Qualy: Thought I would go 1 lap and 100% fuel. Thought fuel usage was a bit higher than it actually was - that is what happens when you don't bother to use math..

got slightly motivated, still sucked though despite Mike being in the way sideways at the middle of the longest straight and one huge warp where I went off the track and stayed there for like 3 seconds I met up with Reirom on the track. Apparently he had been 5.th-6.th before he pit, but came out right behind me. Long fight, got a good rhythm going and starting pulling away few laps later:

what a pussy, finger pains come with the territory.

So say goodbye to Reirom everybody.

Oh and I was 11.th.
