To all:
All the results are updated and videos are uploaded. The next and the last event is on next Sunday at 20:00 CEST. Then we'll get a clear ranking with top 5 best results.
Re: Full Contact Championship
I probably won't be able to make the next one as I'm going to the Formula E race in London and doubt I'll be back in time.
Good luck everybody for the final though and thanks for organising this Whip. I've really enjoyed it.

Re: Full Contact Championship
Happy and surprised to win, though Alex and Oompa were missing.
Next goal to be in top 4 overall after these monsters, all better if someone won't show up.

Nice Hevonen!
I was at work, sorry to have missed it though. Next is Sunday as well?

Hevonen greeat work!
I had to miss this one but I should be around on Sunday for the last cup.

Re: Full Contact Championship
Arrow had a great result too. And, yes, the next event is on Sunday again.
Re: Full Contact Championship
Gj Hevonen!
Sunday is complicated for me too, but I will try to compete next.

Sig, since 2006.
Re: Full Contact Championship
Yeah I played a good cup and I had luck too.
In the 11th race I passed through about 10 cars in a crossing and I found myself in 2nd place without any expectation

Re: Full Contact Championship
Gonna miss next and last cup, unhappy for that. Good luck to who will play it and hope a new event is gonna be organised soon.
This cup was very funny for me and I had a lot of fun.
Thank you to Whiplash!!!

Re: Full Contact Championship
Unfortunately I can't participate on Sundays but this has been a fun championship. Any plans to do something else in the future?
Re: Full Contact Championship
Pfff, too many quits. Maybe we could postpone the last race? Will wrote:Unfortunately I can't participate on Sundays but this has been a fun championship.
I'm not sure about that. It would be nice to have something automatized, so that we have some live competition every week. Will wrote:Any plans to do something else in the future?

Seems 8pm on a Sunday isn't the best time, i agree with postponing .)Whiplash wrote:Pfff, too many quits. Maybe we could postpone the last race? Will wrote:Unfortunately I can't participate on Sundays but this has been a fun championship.
That'd be coolWhiplash wrote:I'm not sure about that. It would be nice to have something automatized, so that we have some live competition every week. Will wrote:Any plans to do something else in the future?

Re: Full Contact Championship
Ok, next event is postponed for Tuesday 30.6.2015. at 20:00 CEST.
Re: Full Contact Championship
I think Enrico Papi and Carlos Sainz first idea was to have separate championships, with 2 (or more) divisions. At the end, some of div1 would be relagated to div2, and some of div2 would go up. This way this would go on "forever" and it's less work for you...Whiplash wrote:Pfff, too many quits. Re: Full Contact Championship
Yes, it sounds good on paper, but it wouldn't work in reality. You never know how many players will join to play the cup. So, saying that somebody goes up or down means actually nothing. If we get 20 players joined to the server, I would rather let them all play div1 cup than saying that some of them should go out. That system would work only if we knew that we have stable number of 35-40 players. But now that's not the case: sometimes we get 20, sometimes 28 etc. But we always aim to have full grid in div1 cup and that's the reason why we play like this.Azev wrote:I think Enrico Papi and Carlos Sainz first idea was to have separate championships, with 2 (or more) divisions. I can't make it on time tonight
Good luck all! I put money on Azev. If he not wins, put into account so we can print ts t-shirts!

Nooooooo!!! I was so looking forward to battling it out with you for the championship... without you it's not nearly as fun or interesting. Still no homo. But much sadness.Oompa wrote:I can't make it on time tonight

Re: Full Contact Championship
Results and videos are uploaded. Blah, too bad that so many players didn't show up. Anyway, thanks for playing the championship and congratulations to winer. I'd like to join the similar cup organized by somebody else.

Re: Full Contact Championship
Good cup, that managed to win more easily, because it lacked enough players.
Sig, since 2006.

As I pointed out right at the beginning, a cup like this was never going to be easy to organise or run, but I think you did a decent job in the end (even if we will never agree on some things

In the end, most TS cups I've seen organised like this always lose players after the first few rounds and we could see that again with this cup as we dropped from nearly 30 at the start to just 18 last night. That's not through anybody's fault, that's just how these things go. I guess it's quite difficult for most players over the age of 24 to dedicate a specific time each week to playing these cups because they don't know what their work or family life might require. That's certainly true for me - I would love to dedicate as much time to this as I did when I was 18/19, but it's just not possible anymore.
But anyway, let's put that into perspective. A few years ago, almost all organised cups had a 20-player limit. Sometimes only 10 people would turn up. Looking at it this way, to still have 18 people turn up for the final cup after 6 weeks of playing is actually quite good. Even though I do agree with Sig too - I would never have finished top 3 last night with people like T, Oompa, Alex, Serif, Matic and kiki about
