CMI'Kart-125cc - old karts
I'm doing a nostalgia trip by playing Turbosliders again with some friends.
I remember some karts that were a lot of fun in local multiplayer, but all the links i cound find are dead.

Anyone have these old karts (or any other old cars)?
thank you!

This is what I could find on my PC:

There are some old karts made by Jazzy, as far as I could notice.

Why don't you simply play with car handling properties by yourself? It's very easy - just check the .CAR file and change numbers of each parameter.

Re: CMI'Kart-125cc - old karts
I'm a bit confused by al the parameters and how they affect the car handling.Whiplash wrote:Why don't you simply play with car handling properties by yourself? It's very easy - just check the .CAR file and change numbers of each parameter.
Is there a guide somewhere? (other than the developer comments in the car def file)?
What i wanted is to make a kart that you can throw into a bit of a slide (not too exaggerated) and where that slide is the fastest way of cornering. i.e. where controlling a slide like this makes for faster laps than "no sliding".
but all the karts i tried so far are always faster when you "no slide".
also: is there a way to race againts your own records?

Re: CMI'Kart-125cc - old karts
Making a car always needs tries and errors. I only now there was an F2-TSB car which had such handling. That handling is something I hate the most.
And, no, there is still no a way to drive against your own ghost. Maybe we'll get that feature in the future.

Thanks! I think that is still a bit too anti slide for my taste. I will play around with it.Whiplash wrote:HERE
shame about the lack of ghost races. is the game opensource these days?

That kart is a handful! specially on the smaller tracks
Thanks so much for finding it for me.
With the decline of TS players, I think we should preserve all this content on the internet archive or some place safe like that. for future memory so that it can be experienced years from now.
what do you think? are there rights/permissions issues involved?
Re: CMI'Kart-125cc - old karts
Yeah, we will do that sooner or later.

I won't mind having them re-uploaded here. I do have a couple of old contents dwelling on my HDD but not all of them.pfm wrote:With the decline of TS players, I think we should preserve all this content on the internet archive or some place safe like that. for future memory so that it can be experienced years from now.
