Xtreme Sliders

Post by Respekt » Sun Nov 20, 2011 10:17 pm

We are comming back stronger than ever. Not only will we be involved in current races and events but we are going to kick it old school and run some slider only races on Ande's original tracks. Also, recruiting new players that are interested in old fashioned racing simulators, like Turbo Sliders, will be a priority in order to help Turbo Sliders itself and the community grow.

Website is under contruction and will be complete soon, with frequent TS related updates, news, and downloads. We won't be creating our own forum/discussion board as this one here is already fully developed/succesful and doing great.

If anyone would like to share links for our page please let me know, thanks.

There's nothing Whip's. Mike is one of the biggest wankers TS ever had, so anything different than [x] would be just weird shit in front of his nick. :P
Btw, Respect, I hope there will be some ranking based on wanking.
Don't forget Spinner too, Mike just loves it. :P

hahaha, I said the same thing 9 years ago when xS was the only turbosliders team.

the website is almost complete, I'm just working on getting a domain name and more space for uploads, there will be an intergrated live chat for pre and post race chatting, an official schedule that any TS team can add events to for all to see (not only xS members), And a few other features... will have it open by the end of the week. I'll have my sliders server up once I get my new cpu and faster internet.

Oh, I made my joke totally out of knowledge that Mike was there. I knew it was something "xtreme", but I never thought that's that team. Now I just realized why Drago made that comment up there.

If you're good at web programming, maybe it could be more centralized by incorporating it in the main TS's site. I'm just not sure what would dede say about it.
Anyway, I'm curious to see what you made.

wasn't it 2002 or 2003? I remember chatting with ande long before I joined the site... I could be wrong.

I'm terrible with web programming which is why i used a site builder. I'll toss dede the link to the page once it's done and if wants to share links then cool, if not no big deal. This site is already fully developed so the xS page will be mostly for the team and for other teams to arrange race and "battles" kind of thing. It's very plain and basic/easy to use. don't expect anything great hehe.

edit nov 22*

Our server is up and running. The cars and tracks will be played with over the next few days...

Hello, actually there are three cars for random: slider, anti, and tsb-f2.

Theoretically it seems to be a good idea: players with different preferences are forced to use, and hopefully to learn, all these very different cars, even they are not those they prefer. Who knows? Maybe "tomorrow" everybody will love all these cars...

Pratically, I think it's not the best solution. I've seen some players quit when F2 appears, most of players quit when there is slider and someone (maybe only me?) could quit when anti appears.

I know. It''s hard to make everybody happy...

yea you can't make everybody happy. however I've played with quite a few people in the server over the past few days and people seem to like it. The only people that don't like it are the new players, most of which are younger kids and just want to hit each other in FC. I'm not going to lie, our server is catered to the older players that are familiar with the cars, with hopes some of the newer player will get into it as well. Time will tell.

ps. WHOA is working hard on creating our own original points/ranking/records system for the server, I'll let him update you guys when he's ready to do so.
