Post by Mike Nike » Wed Nov 30, 2011 8:53 pm

i updated gfx drivers and now the game gets stretched.
how to get back the black borders at left/right side in turbosliders?

yes, i did a lot of ingame things to test if it works...
yes, i googled at least 30 minutes...where i found only 100% of people asking and responding how to get rid of the black borders -.-
and no, i dont want to play turbosliders in my desktop resolution.
and no, i dont want to deinstall the gfx drivers

my settings:
windows 7 64 bit
geforce gtx 260
desktop resolution 1680x1050

# Video settings

And a resolution of 960*600 isn't an option either?

just configured in nvidia settings that ts can use a 960x600...
testing in ts went well..
pro: chatlines are similar big like in 800x600
pro: i could see more far what happens at left and right side of the screen
contra: that actually can distract more than it helps, but not sure..
contra: the sweet small tracks, like basic and waves i got to drive in full window, which feels kinda weird lol - usually i have stats-bar visible or, if off, there are black borders at top and bottom of screen, which seems to improve aiming/timing, because eyes focus on a smaller part of the screen

so...good alternative, but if possible ill try to get back the left/right black borders to simulate the size of my old non-widescreen monitor.

edit:
found out that fitinscreen 1 helps to display small tracks in 960x600 just like in 800x600...unfortunately that would be only senseful for situations where the next tracks dont include bigger tracks

edit:
found a solution...
in nvidia settings, scale mode taken by gpu did the trick

yep, but i see it caused new problems:
alt-tabbing back to ts causes sometimes in no display at all (froze display of ts when i alttabbed the 1st time), so i have to alttab again to make it work
