Software suggestions

PostWed Nov 06, 2013 12:09 am

After few days of using it, I'm really amazed by this one:
http://miranda-ng.org/
It allows you to use MSN, IRC, Facebook chat, and many other protocols all at the same time. It's really complex, but very cleverly designed. It has a lot of nice notification options and using only 2-3 MB of your RAM (if you're not installing a lot of plugins).
Sure, I'm not suggesting you this if you're an advanced IRC user who likes scripting and stuff. Those ones should stick to mirc or HydraIRC.

O.K., here is another great software:
Smart Defrag 3
This is the best defragler you can find. It has some really cool options. Once you set it on, you can forget about it - it will do the job silently in the background whenever you're PC is in idle status. 3rd version just came out and it's f*** great. Just be careful while installing to avoid installing ASC (Advanced System Care) with it - if you don't want it.

If you ever wanted to change your anti-virus, I highly recommend 360 Total Security.
I tried tons of AV softwares, and this one is the only one that finally has all I wanted. This is what you can expect:
- It's fully free.
- It's clean (without any advertising and irritating pop-ups that you can't disable).
- You can control all the updates.
- It has "game/silent mode", so it will never update anything while you're in game.
- It's not using a lot of PC power.
- It has tons of extra options and features like speedup and cleanup tools.
